St. Mary's were so lucky to experience the rare appearance of The Red Arrows flying over our School last week!
The rain was coming down hard, but that didn't stop us all!! The whole school went outside to rave and cheer them on!!
Year 6 had a lovely morning participating in Wodson Park Games today!
We must also thank Mrs Osborn for allowing us to march through her lovely garden to get there and back!
St Mary's are part of the National School Travel Awards and over the summer we received our Good level Modeshift STARS accreditation. Throughout the year, we will be working with the children, parents and carers, as well as the local residents, to work towards our Very Good Travel Plan Accreditation. Our aims are to encourage more children and parents/ carers to walk to school to lower emissions around the school site and to make our school more environmentally friendly.

On 10th June, Year 5 ventured up the A1 to explore three places of worship; a mosque, church and gudwara as part of a faith tour. They seized the opportunity to ask many questions and came back with a better understanding of what connects the faiths of Islam, Christianity and Sikhism.
On 22nd May, Year 4 had a lovely time exploring The Naze in deepest Essex. They looked at features of coasts, coastal erosion and even had time for a spot of fossil hunting.
A truly a-nazing time was had by all!
