Thank you to everyone for the amazing collection of food, toiletries and pet food that made up the wonderful Harvest display on Tuesday during our Collective Worship. All donations have been gratefully received by a local charity who support families in need.
On Wednesday 9th October Year 5 finally managed to get to Edge at The Three Lakes.
The children were able to participate in many activities such as: High ropes, Laser Tag, Archery, Air rifle shooting, zorbing, Mounting Boarding and The Edge Warrior Assault course.
All of the children engaged well in all the activities and fully demonstrated the school values.
St Mary's choir were excited and raring to go when they boarded the coach after lunch on Wednesday 9th October. Their destination: St Alban's Cathedral to take part in the Diocese Harvest Service.
Their coach, however, had other ideas! Breaking down just 10 minutes' drive from the venue, the choir (and Worship Leaders) had to wait patiently for a replacement coach. Unfortunately, this meant they missed the service and instead were stuck outside a branch of Papa Johns for ninety minutes. So near yet so far.
Of course, you can't keep a good choir down. With Mrs Hawkins to keep their spirits up, Mrs Orton to coordinate a solution and Mr Hart to keep tempo very loosely, the choir became the first, and hopefully last, St Mary's Coach Choir!
