Music
At St Mary’s, children will develop a love of listening to and performing a variety of different types of music. Through knowledge and acquisition, they will develop the value of respect by showing a respect for instruments and each other as performers. As well as developing a cultural capital and respect for music and its uses around the world. Finally, Children will demonstrate the value of friendship by working collaboratively within the community to create, rehearse and perform music to wide a range of audiences.
A visit from Haileybury music students
Flute, trumpet, piano, singers. In May 2024, there was a singing assembly with a difference! We were lucky enough to receive a visit from some of Haileybury College's musical sixth formers, each of whom performed to the school. They then talked about their instrument before taking questions from the enthralled audience.
