Librarians & Reading Ambassadors

Meet our fantastic librarians and reading ambassadors! Every class from Year 3 to Year 6 boasts two enthusiastic reading ambassadors, each with the important role of spreading the joy of reading within their classrooms. In addition, our four Year 6 librarians are tasked with overseeing the library and encouraging children to discover the magic of books.

At St Mary's, we believe that fostering a strong reading culture is essential, and these lovely children are as passionate about reading as we are. We're so proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to making reading a cherished part of our school community

Our Librarians

Hello, we are the librarians from 6M - Vera and Jessica. We want to encourage everyone to read and share their books. Our passions mainly link to reading so we have been help to organise the library and recommend books. We love reading because it opens our imagination to new ideas and improves our English work. If it wasn't clear already, we want to help you love reading. So...Happy Reading!

Hello! I'm Tom one of the librarians from 6K. I love reading because it calms me down. As a librarian, I look after the library at lunch. We are eager to share books with other pupils and teachers. My favourite book is Loki which is about a god, called down to Earth because he's been mean to the god, Sif. If any of you need help with finding books, come to the librarians and we will be happy to help.
