UPDATE FOR PARENTS IN 2026-27
School Leader Roles
This year, we are not having children present for a specific role but for a role as a leader within the school. This could be as a House captain, Worship leader, Librarian, Science leader, Lead Eco warrior, Play leaders and potentially many more. Children need to understand that they may go for a specific role but potentially not get the role they had their heart set on. If they audition for a school leader, they will get a leader role. The presentations will be on Wednesday 9th September in the afternoon but we may ask some children to present to the whole school on Thursday 10th September so we know what role they would be best suited for. Children can use powerpoints, posters or other ways to support them through their presentation. If your child has used a power point, please ensure it is on a USB stick or shared with Mr Klippel on Google by Wednesday lunch. The decision for who will be which leader will not just be from the year 6 staff but all the staff members at St. Mary's.

We are very proud of all of our year 6 children and the example they are setting to the younger children. They have all taken on the responsibility of being the role models for the rest of the school.
Many of our children have also volunteered for the various jobs and positions available to year 6 children and we are very grateful to them. Please look at the Pupil Leader section to find out more.
