Tuesday 24th September 2019
Six (soggy) Year 6 children, Mrs Orton and Miss George travelled to St Hugh's and St John's church in Stevenage to take part in a Taizé worship group along with several other schools from the area. The workshop was run by our very own Rev Ysmena and she introduced us all to short songs/chants that could be used in Collective Worship in school. The songs used not only English, but Greek and Latin too.
The children listened and joined in very carefully and are ready for the next step of working out how and when we can use the things they have learnt in class and whole school Collective Worship and reflection times.
Check back soon to see how we get on with our first Taizé worship time!
