History
At St Mary’s, our history curriculum is designed to develop pupil’s understanding of why the world and its people are the way they are today with the core values of love, respect and friendship at the foundation. We believe that through our teaching, pupils will develop the skills to make enquiries; ask and answer perceptive questions; draw comparisons; make connections between different time periods and their own lives; and develop perspective and judgement. They will begin to understand the process of change, the diversity of past societies and relationships between different groups, as well as their own identity in relation to British and world history. Through classroom learning and educational visits, we will stimulate pupil’s curiosity to know more about the past
